Gertsch-Baker Engineering and Design

Christie (the boss) and I met in college while working at a local bike shop. We both moved on, only to meet again years later here in Laramie. 

I am inspired by the things around me, the simple details, AND the amazing variety. Naturally, with all the variety in career choices, I had a hard time narrowing down my focus in college, and took a couple extra years to decide, hence a degree in marketing with a minor in geology, useful!  I recently watched the new Karate Kid movie and love the quote from Mr. Han.  He tells his young apprentice, “Your focus needs focus”. I think that sums me up pretty well.

My husband and I met in high school, so we’ve known each other now for over half of our lives. We have two wonderful children who enrich our lives every day with their quirky, but seldom appreciated (in the moment-anyhow) wisdom.   

We enjoy just about any activity in the outdoors, but topping the list are biking, climbing, camping, hiking and boating. Our family sidekicks include Toby the dog and High-Five the cat.
