Mr. Gertsch has been the principal architect for his firm since its founding in 1973. He has over 30 years of combined educational and professional experience within the fields of civil engineering and architectural design. Clients know and trust him for his dedication to quality. His experience as an instructor of civil and architectural engineering at the University of Wyoming and as the engineer, architect, and superintendent for the University's Physical plant gives him a unique insight and sensitivity to project design from the owners perspective.

 

 

Lloyd H. Baker, Principal Engineer/Former Owner

July 12, 1930 - December 25, 2008

Mr. Baker was head of civil engineering and surveying since the founding of Gertsch/Baker and Associates in 1973 until his untimely death on Decemeber 25, 2008.

After working as an engineer for the Wyoming Highway Department and the University of Wyoming, he founded Gertsch/Baker and Associates, with his business partner, Ted Gertsch, in 1972.

Lloyd was a teacher, mentor, engineer, surveyor, and friend whos wry humor will be missed daily in our office.

As project manager, Mr. Erickson has been responsible for coordinating a wide range of architectural projects. His involvement has extended from project conceptualization through construction supervision. Mr. Erickson has been the primary designer for such diverse projects as the Site Improvements to Cathedral Home for Children, City of Laramie Facilities Remodel, as well as the Orin Junction and Pine Bluffs rest areas for Wyoming Highway Department. He has also conducted planned studies for City of Laramie, Wyoming, Albany County, Wyoming and the Wyoming Highway Department.

Ms. Roberts has a Structural Engineering degree from the University of Wyoming and achieved licensure in 2009. Commercial and residential construction documents are her main assignment, but she also participates in structural analysis of existing structures throughout Laramie.  While many of the downtown buildings are of sound construction, a few have structural instabilities to be addressed. 
After one year of membership, Ms. Roberts was elected chair of the Design Committee for the Laramie Main Street Program.  She has served at this position for approximately one year during which the Committee completed Design Guidelines for Laramie’s downtown district.  The Guidelines have not only been adopted by the Main Street Board, but by Laramie’s City Council as well.
